History
Twilight Cabaret has been producing quality summer productions in western Kentucky for many years. Founded by the late Robert E. Johnson and his wife, Shirley, the concept of entertainment and teaching has prevailed. These summer programs have taken several forms; there were three-act plays, variety shows, and recently, a comedy-mystery. All of these have been presented with tourists and area residents in mind to provide family entertainment. Although professionals have been the directors, scene designers, choreographers and technical advisers, the Company Players have been university students. They have learned the elements of producing a theatrical production. Alumnae of Twilight Cabaret are in the professional arts, in teaching and in communication arts. You may have seen some of them in New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky, Texas, Arizona, California and Louisiana as well as other places in the United States and abroad.
